botanical: spring

Coming out of winter’s long hibernation we celebrate the reemergence of Spring, a season that drenches our surroundings in entirely new palettes as our environment begins to bloom. Illustrating the beauty and abundance of our natural world, Botanical: Spring invites artists’ depictions of all things flora.

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

Exhibition dates: 19 October – 3 November 2019

Opening night: Saturday 19 October, 6-9pm

Exhibition fees

Only proposals which are selected will be liable for a fee.

Cost: $40 per artwork.

Artworks must measure under 60x60cm.

Brunswick Street Gallery will accept proposals from artists working in all mediums. 3D and sculptural works encouraged.

Curation of works is at the gallery’s discretion. If you have any specific requirements please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Gallery Commission

Brunswick Street Gallery takes a 25% commission on all sold works.

Applications

Deadline: Midnight, Friday 20 September.

Applications should consist of images of the works to be submitted along with a brief artist statement.

WIP images accepted.

can we float

An exhibition for artists currently practising or experimenting with water-based mediums – such as watercolour, gouache or inks – Can We Float demonstrates a sense of movement, expression and form that unique to aqueous materials. Brunswick Street Gallery encourages submissions that feature playfulness, and experimentation with colour, texture and negative space. While many of the works will be received on paper, we encourage experimentation, seeking to present collection of diverse materials and creative ideas that push the limits of the mediums used.

Cost: $30 per artwork.

Works on paper to be presented unframed, installed with magnets. Works must not measure more than 45x45cm. Experimental approaches to the the materials encouraged.

Brunswick Street Gallery will accept submissions using gouache, watercolour, ink or any other aqueous materials. It is the artist’s responsibility to provide and attached tabs if you require those for installation of your work.

Curation of works is at the gallery’s discretion. If you have any specific requirements for the display of your work please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
