Drawings
Howard Green
15 February–3 March 2024

Howard Green has loved drawing from an early age, later developing interest in collage and children’s drawings. He draws inspiration from George Herriman’s wonderful 1940s comic strip, ‘Krazy Kat’.

Howard Green’s favourite artist has always been Paul Klee, taken in particular by a line from the sketchbooks he produced while an art teacher at the Bauhaus advising artists to “take a line for a walk”.

These drawings are his way of doing that.

Howard Green was born in the UK in 1943.

Howard has held two exhibitions, one of drawings in Melbourne in 1973, and one of collages in Brisbane in 1985.

Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Drawings on Friday 16 February (6–8PM).
