As a contemporary art space championing creative practices that demonstrate exceptional skill and craftsmanship, we pride ourselves on showcasing some of Australia’s most exciting emerging and established artists and craftspeople. Located in the heart of Fitzroy–one of Melbourne’s most creative suburbs–Brunswick Street Gallery has multiple exhibition spaces and two dedicated stockrooms. We have a large audience of collectors and art lovers just waiting to immerse themselves in your work.

Applications from established artists, emerging artists, art collectives and curators working in all mediums are welcome to apply. Solo and group exhibitions will be considered. Exhibitions may utilise single or multiple exhibition spaces within our multi-level gallery.

Terms + How to apply +

In order to be considered for an exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery we will need you to submit an exhibition proposal. This proposal should be a PDF document that includes the following:

Up to 10 images of artworks indicative of those to be displayed (JPEG, clearly labelled, no single image larger than 500k).
An Exhibition Statement outlining your plan for your proposed exhibition, including a description of artworks to be included and how space will be utilised.
An Artist Statement outlining your current practice. Artists may also include their Curriculum Vitae or links to their website.
Specification of desired time period or gallery spaces the artists wishes to exhibit in.
